Taiwan is a fascinating place to visit. Culturally it retains all the elements you would expect of China. Geographically, it has fabulous mountains. Historically, it is much more diverse than you would expect – from Dutch and British forts through to Chinese palaces and Japanese colonial architecture. This is a short blog written over 2015-17 of my brief travels in Taiwan. I have another blog – Alleuropean which is a long-running analysis of European current affairs and travel.
